About COSA

Built for the people who have to stand behind every call

We started COSA to turn call compliance from a sampling exercise into complete, evidenced oversight — for UK equity release, later-life lending and other FCA-regulated advice firms.

Compliance
& Sales

The name

One platform for compliance and sales

Compliance protects customers and the firm; sales keeps the firm growing. Most tools force a trade-off between the two. COSA is built on the belief that complete oversight makes both better — fewer surprises for compliance, and clearer, more confident conversations for advisers.

By reviewing every call, COSA helps firms meet their regulatory obligations, protect vulnerable customers and run more efficiently — all at the same time.

How we build

Principles you'll see in the product

Not a list of values on a wall. Each one is a decision you can point to in COSA — so here it is, beside the part of the app that shows it.

  1. 01

    Your rules, not a template

Every firm is held to its own standards. COSA assesses calls against the rules your compliance team writes and maintains — and each rule runs only on the call types it applies to.

Recording disclosure read to the client

“This call is recorded for training and compliance purposes.”

  2. 02

    Evidence over assertion

A verdict without its evidence isn't worth much. Every finding carries the quote, a plain-English explanation and how confident the assessment is.

    In COSA · Evidence

    Interest roll-up explained

    Passed

Interest rolls up, so the amount you owe grows over time.

The adviser explained that interest compounds and the balance grows over the life of the loan.

  3. 03

    People make the final call

COSA supports professional judgement. Authorised reviewers can override any result, the original verdict is kept, and no automatic re-run can undo their decision.

    In COSA · Overrides

    Vulnerability identified and handled

    OriginalNeeds reviewReviewerPassed

Manually overridden by an authorised reviewer. The original verdict is retained for audit purposes.

    Automatic re-runs never replace a reviewer's decision.

  4. 04

    Coverage you can prove

Every in-scope call is assessed, and every call you exclude is logged with the reason. No unexplained gaps in what your monitoring covered.

  5. 05

    Nothing changes for advisers

COSA picks calls up once they've finished. It can't make, join or interrupt a call, so advisers work exactly as they do today.

  6. 06

Why now

The moment for complete oversight has arrived

Four things changed at once. Together they make a sample hard to defend — and every call practical to review.

  1. 01

The Consumer Duty raised the bar on evidence

The FCA expects firms to monitor and evidence outcomes across their whole customer base, and boards to sign off on it at least once a year.

  2. 02

    Sampling doesn't scale

Manual QA can't keep pace with call volumes without adding headcount — and it still leaves most conversations unheard.

  3. 03

    The technology caught up

Speech-to-text and language models can now assess a conversation against written rules, with the quote and reasoning to check every finding.

  4. 04

Complete oversight is a better story

Firms that can show evidenced oversight of every call have a stronger position with supervisors, boards and customers alike.
